European Elections – Nominations for East Midlands of England – Official List
So the day has finally come and the Nominations for the 2014 EU Elections in the East Midlands of England are published. The first thought I have is that I am pleased that I am facing just 8 political opponents rather then 12 we faced in 2009 in the East Midlands of England.
Apart from one “Newcomer” all the other 8 parties have realised that without a full slate of candidates across England, there is no media coverage and without media coverage there is no chance of winning and saving the deposit is a challenge. Unfortunately the “Harmony Party” are set to come last in the East Midlands and loose their deposit.
Anyway here is a brief analysis of the runners and riders who you can vote for on Thursday 22 May 2014.
An Independence from Europe Party or some might say the “Mike Natrass (former UKIP) ‘sulk’ party” which appears to only exist to take some votes away from UKIP, his former party. Running under the Name and description “An Independence from Europe – UK Independence Now”. A very similar ploy as the 2009 “UK First” political party, that stood in 3 Regions of England and gained circa 2.3% – mainly by taking confused UKIP voters away from UKIP – looks like Mike Natrass is trying to do the same thing to UKIP in 2014 and to give him credit he has made a much better job of it then UK First did in 2009. It also proves that the governance role of the Electoral Commission in elections, is something that they simply can’t handle !
British National Party Running under the 2014 Ballot Paper Slogan of British National Party – “Because we can make Britain better”. The question that immediately comes to mind is “how” can the BNP make Britain Better ? especially when UKIP appears to have captured the vast majority of British Nationalist voters, and Nick Griffin is personally bankrupt. If he can’t run his own personal finances, what chance would Nick Griffin have of running a Country ? Also where did the BNP get £55,000 to stand across Great Britain – very strange indeed.
Conservative Party Running under the 2014 Ballot Paper Slogan of Conservative Party “For real change in Europe”. As there has been on “real change”for the past 4 years under a Conservative led government it is difficult to understand what the Conservative & Unionist party have in mind ? Many Conservatives would probably believe that the best “Real Change” in the Conservative party would be to stand up for England and the English for once and elect a sensible leader like David Davis who of course supports the creation of an English Parliament.
English Democrats Running under the new 2014 EU Campaign Slogan on the Ballot Paper of I’m English, NOT British, NOT EUropean! – the great news for English Nationalism was the 2011 Census, where 60% of people in England (in the comfort of their own home) when asked by the census, identified themselves as “English Only” as their Nationality, a further 10% identified themselves as “English/British” 20% identified as “British” and the remaining 10% were all sorts. This clearly shows that as devolution for Scotland, Wales and Ireland has kicked in, English Identity has increased and British Identity has decreased. Many, many people complain that they cannot identify themselves as English on “Government” forms. Coupled with the Scottish Independence debate and the change in English Democrats lead policy from “English Parliament” to “English Independence” the 2014 EU Elections present an interesting opportunity for the English Democrats – will the public use the opportunity to express their English identity in the East Milands of England ?
Green Party The Green Party of England & Wales, does not have a Ballot Paper slogan, however it is interesting that the Green Party of England & Wales with it’s Australian Leader is the only option on the ballot paper, apart form the English Democrats that supports Scottish Independence. So if you wish to vote for a “left leaning” party supporting Scottish Independence in the East Midlands then the Greens are the only choice for you, naturally if you have a common sense view to politics then the English Democrats is your option of course !
Harmony Party Running under the Slogan – Zero Immigration, Anti-EU, Pro-Jobs, this party’s founder could be a supporter of several of the Nationalist parties on the ballot paper, however it is difficult to find out any information about the party as there is no web site, although this party is standing in 3 Regions in England. The creator of the party is a man called Terry Leach, who at the Agents briefing in Southampton explained that he was not “on-line” and had never done anything in politics before, but had come into some money, and it would seem he wants to blow his money on an election – three regions – that’s £15,000 down the drain ! – Anyway, no web site, no media coverage – however the name “Harmony” to me brings hair spray immediately to mind, maybe hairdressers will be voting for Harmony, or even Barber Shop Quartets ?
Labour Party Labour does not have a Ballot Paper Slogan. Before voting Labour – just think about Ed Miliband, that should put you off !
Liberal Democrats Liberal Democrats are not “outed” as a Pro-European Union Political Party – if that is what you want, you know who to vote for now.
UK Independence Party (UKIP) Running under the Ballot Paper slogan in the East Midlands of England of UK Independence Party (UKIP) you end up on the Ballot Paper with UK Independence Party (UKIP) – UK Independence Party (UKIP), a bit like the song New York, New York, no doubt (so good you named it twice) – or was that just an admin cock-up ? Nigel will be cross again . For British Nationalists the UKIP “train” for the 2014 EU Elections appears to be unstoppable at the time of writing. UKIP is of course a British Nationalist Party, and has no time for “England” or the “English”, preferring “Britain” and the “British”. – By the 22 May 2014 there is some hope that the people of England will have had so much of “Nigel Farage” that they will simply want to vote for something else – hopefully that something else will be English.
The parties below stood in 2009, but are not standing in the East Midlands in 2014.
|Christian Party “Proclaiming Christ’s Lordship”||17,907||(+1.5%)|
|Socialist Labour Party||13,590||(+1.1%)|
|No2EU – Yes to Democracy||11,375||(+0.9%)|
Votes that have to “go somewhere” in 2014 in the East Midlands of England.
To conclude there are now only 8 Political Parties standing in every constituency across England – these parties have taken the EU Elections seriously
1/ An Independence from Europe – UK Independence Now (Mike Natrass I’m cross with UKIP)
2/ British National Party – Because we can make Britain better
3/ Conservative Party – For real change in Europe
4/ English Democrats – Putting England First ! & I’m English, NOT British, NOT EUropean !
5/ Green Party
6/ Labour Party
7/ Liberal Democrats
8/ UK Independence Party (UKIP)
I hope you find my opinion of use or at least entertaining, please look at each of the Party’s web sites for further details
See the East Midlands ten point plan below. Every election is about being IN or OUT of the EU…NOTHING ELSE!. Lib Dem, Labour, Conserative all want IN. British UKIP and ENGLISH Democrats want OUT. You decide, but i’m voting English! The smart talking Liberal/Labour /Conservative Parties ALL want Turkey in the EU, and voted ‘FOR’ EU enlargement, this includes ex-tory, now Ukip East Midlands MEP Roger Helmer. The present Coalition Government immediately once in power, increased UK foreign aid massively and increased our EU payments, whilst giving us increased fuel taxes & VAT. Then MP’s gave themselves a huge pay rise and, gave ONLY the richest earners…. lower income tax!. They then, cutback our Police, public services and benefits for our poorest people, yet give the people in Scotland/Wales a lot more financial help for their services, benefits and needy! Why are he English people not equal in the UK?. WE NEED EQUAL UK RIGHTS FOR THE PEOPLE OF ENGLAND, BUT UNTIL ENGLAND GOVERN’S ITSELF WE WILL ALWAYS BE SECOND BEST WITHIN THE ‘BRITISH’ PARLIAMENT. We’re putting England First’ …..If you’re English, VOTE English! As the May 2014 EU election is on the ‘Proportional Representation’ (PR) voting system (not first past the post), and given our most recent ‘widespread’ results in the Police (PPC) elections in November 2012, we approach this election with great optimism. We stood 5 candidates in Essex, Cambridgeshire, Kent, Merseyside & South Yorkshire obtaining an AVERAGE VOTE OF 8.3% and with only requiring around 9% of the vote, we now stand best chance yet of obtaining our first MEP’s. We need to get England free and independent and to put England and our people first!. We need to put right the huge damage done by 50 years of the Lib/Lab/Con politics. East Midlands mini-manifesto what we will campaign for; Plan 1. Scrap the unfair bedroom tax. Plan 2. Stop income tax on private pensions. Plan 3. Build our industries back up. Make jobs, make electric cars/solar panels for world export. Plan 4. Leave the EU, quick & easy via English Independence. Plan 5. Stop mass immigration. Cutback our £11.2 billion foreign aid bill, use it in the UK! Plan 6. Stop NHS cutbacks, and protect from privatisation. Introduce an ‘option to die’. Plan 7. Re-Nationalise the Railways, PO & Utilities elect/water/gas Government non-profit control. Plan 8. Cut the number of politicians (Councillors & MP’s) by 50%, currently 22,000 approx. Plan 9. Restore National Service £1,000pm, 6 months non-combat role, driving test passed/training skills/trades, for 17-19 year olds males with female’s optional. Make law; minimum age 21 for combat zone’s. Options of all 3 military services with an option to extend. Plan 10. Restore ‘equal UK rights’, restore free student fees in England, have equal UK spending per head. End ‘English only’ elderly home seizures to pay for English elderly care. English Democrats – Putting England First!
Labour, Liberal Democrats & Conservative Parties, all supporting mass immigration and the EU for the last 50 years.
Ukip wants immigration a bit lower than the Conservatives (because that’s what they are) and fielding a Moslem candidate’s for the ‘British political correctness’ club.
If Turkey joins the EU, like Lib/Lab/Con parties, this Country will be just about finished! We must leave NOT re-negotiate or have a media biased, establishment rule referendum!
ENGLISH INDEPENDENCE = AUTOMATIC ‘OUT’ OF THE EU! Why won’t Ukip adopt this?
English Democrats proposal: National Service will NOT be treated as a punishment for unruly teenager boys but instead considered a good opportunity for teenagers to gain a head start on professional trade/skills training whilst getting paid, including driving/passing their driving test (for free) and will include all trades & sports. National Service will be strictly a ‘non-combat’ role (no sending our young men to war zones) and will be optional for females, male will be able to apply early if they are unemployed or other good reasons.
Anyone with a criminal record before the age of 18 will not be allowed this opportunity, other exemptions will apply similar to Finland/Norway National Service programmes.
Strictly NO-ONE will be allowed in any combat zones before the age of 21 and an experienced professional.
PAYING FOR IT. We send £8 billion pa overseas on foreign aid and this is set to increase year-on-year, only America gives more. We send it to economic powerhouses such as China and India, where they have their own space programmes (which we can’t afford). They even have their own foreign aid programmes. We also ship foreign aid to Africa to prop up brutal regimes. When the Conservative led UK Government sends out 0.7% of our national income, they taking it directly from the UK taxpayers.
We think there’s room here to pay wages to our young men (instead of dole money) and start getting them trained in life skills, passing their DRIVING TEST FOR FREE & learning trade skills and about the wider world. We will cut foreign aid dramatically to pay for it. Anyone young males with a criminal record will not be allowed National Service under our proposal.
National Service is also supported by my local MP Philip Hollobone (Kettering) and supported by Mr Stewart Jackson, but is a little more extreme in his National Service ‘House of Commons’ Bill in that he wants all young people aged 18-26, male & females to serve a minimum of 12 months.
